Tana French: In The Woods



Tana French won this year's "Edgar" for their debut "In The Woods" (German title, as always, very resourceful, "grave Green").

A debut that can really be seen. At first I suspected parallels to the thriller of the American Harlan Cobens "The Woods". Here, as there is about young people and something terrible that happened in a forest.

Since the parallels end, however. Where Coben cleverly tells the same story again and again, our French is a first-person narrator, the same zu Beginn seine eigene Glaubwürdigkeit in Frage stellt.
